MACFIN is a
programme to improve the management of financial and materiel resources in the
Finnish Defence Forces. It is harmonising and unifying processes and procedures
between services and units, increasing functional integration inside Finnish
Defence and introducing new capabilities to work more productively with defence
industry. Big changes are made in the IT-architecture and infrastructure. A
defence-wide ERP-system is replacing many old, tailored IT-systems.
During next

Biographies
Jukka
Ponsi, FDF, Defence Staff, Logistics Division
Jukka
is a chief of branch in Logistics Division of the Finnish Defence Staff. His
branch is called Information Management of Logistics. The branch is
coordinating development of logistical information systems and information
management throughout the Finnish Defence Forces. Their main interest lies in
life cycle management and how to support it with high quality information. At
the moment their main task is to implement mySAP.com into Finnish Defence.
Jukka has been working with that programme since 1996 as a programme manager.
Jukka
is a board member in PLCS, Inc. –consortium, which is developing ISO 10303 STEP
AP 239 Product Life Cycle Support. He is a Finnish representative in NATO’s
Life Cycle Integration Group, Codification Committee and NATO CALS Management
Board.
Jukka
has started studies at the Lappeenranta University of Technology in the
Department of Business Administration majoring knowledge management.

Timo
is a responsible person at SBS for Public and Utilities sectors. Siemens
Osakeyhtiö’s SBS delivers ERP-, optimisation- and eBusiness solutions into
local market and has also experience in global implementations. SBS’s interest
is to deliver complete Business Solutions with needed integration with legacy
IT-solution and processes with an eye to further operations.
Timo’s
work career has been included with PDM (Product Data Management) &
Production Planning consultative tasks and concept design/evaluation in
diversified Industry Solutions eg. ERP environments. Timo has been working with
MAHATA programme since RFP on February 2001; first as a Proposal Manager and
afterwards as a SBS’s Delivery Manager.
